But when he saw / many of the Pharisees and Sadducees / come to his baptism, / he said unto them, / O generation of vipers, / who hath warned you / to flee from the wrath to come? /
Bring forth therefore fruits / meet for repentance: /
And think not to say / within yourselves, / We have Abraham to our father: / for I say unto you, / that God is able / of these stones / to raise up children unto Abraham. /
And now also the axe is laid / unto the root of the trees: / therefore every tree / which bringeth not forth good fruit / is hewn down, / and cast into the fire. /
I indeed baptize you / with water unto repentance: / but he that cometh after me / is mightier than I, / whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: / he shall baptize you / with the Holy Ghost, / and with fire: /
Whose fan is in his hand, / and he will throughly purge his floor, / and gather his wheat into the garner; / but he will burn up the chaff / with unquenchable fire.

For I say unto you, / That except your righteousness / shall exceed / the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, / ye shall in no case enter / into the kingdom of heaven.

Enter ye in / at the strait gate: / for wide is the gate, / and broad is the way, / that leadeth to destruction, / and many there be / which go in thereat: /
Because strait is the gate, / and narrow is the way, / which leadeth unto life, / and few there be / that find it.

Not every one that saith unto me, / Lord, Lord, / shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; / but he that doeth the will / of my Father which is in heaven. /
Many will say to me / in that day, / Lord, Lord, / have we not prophesied / in thy name? / and in thy name / have cast out devils? / and in thy name / done many wonderful works? /
And then will I profess unto them, / I never knew you: / depart from me, / ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth / these sayings of mine, / and doeth them, / I will liken him / unto a wise man, / which built his house / upon a rock: /
And the rain descended, / and the floods came, / and the winds blew, / and beat upon that house; / and it fell not: / for it was founded / upon a rock. /
And every one that heareth / these sayings of mine, / and doeth them not, / shall be likened / unto a foolish man, / which built his house / upon the sand: /

And ye shall be hated / of all men / for my name’s sake: / but he that endureth / to the end / shall be saved.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me / before men, / him will I confess also / before my Father which is in heaven. /
But whosoever shall deny me / before men, / him will I also deny / before my Father which is in heaven.

Another parable put he forth unto them, / saying, / The kingdom of heaven is likened / unto a man which sowed / good seed in his field: /
But while men slept, / his enemy came / and sowed tares / among the wheat, / and went his way. /
But when the blade was sprung up, / and brought forth fruit, / then appeared the tares also. /
So the servants of the householder came / and said unto him, / Sir, didst not thou sow / good seed in thy field? / from whence then hath it tares? /
He said unto them, / An enemy hath done this. / The servants said unto him, / Wilt thou then / that we go and gather them up? /
But he said, / Nay; / lest while ye gather up the tares, / ye root up also the wheat with them. /
Let both grow together / until the harvest: / and in the time of harvest / I will say to the reapers, / Gather ye together first the tares, / and bind them in bundles / to burn them: / but gather the wheat / into my barn.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like / unto a net, / that was cast into the sea, / and gathered of every kind: /
Which, when it was full, / they drew to shore, / and sat down, / and gathered the good into vessels, / but cast the bad away. /
So shall it be / at the end of the world: / the angels shall come forth, / and sever the wicked / from among the just, /
And shall cast them / into the furnace of fire: / there shall be wailing / and gnashing of teeth.

At the same time came the disciples / unto Jesus, / saying, / Who is the greatest / in the kingdom of heaven? /
And Jesus called a little child / unto him, / and set him in the midst of them, /
And said, / Verily I say unto you, / Except ye be converted, / and become as little children, / ye shall not enter / into the kingdom of heaven.

And, behold, one came and said unto him, / Good Master, / what good thing shall I do, / that I may have eternal life? /
And he said unto him, / Why callest thou me good? / there is none good but one, / that is, God: / but if thou wilt enter into life, / keep the commandments. /
He saith unto him, / Which? / Jesus said, / Thou shalt do no murder, / Thou shalt not commit adultery, / Thou shalt not steal, / Thou shalt not bear false witness, /
Honour thy father and thy mother: / and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour / as thyself. /
The young man saith unto him, / All these things have I kept / from my youth up: / what lack I yet? /
Jesus said unto him, / If thou wilt be perfect, / go and sell that thou hast, / and give to the poor, / and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: / and come and follow me. /
But when the young man heard that saying, / he went away sorrowful: / for he had great possessions. /
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, / Verily I say unto you, / That a rich man shall hardly enter / into the kingdom of heaven. /
And again I say unto you, / It is easier for a camel / to go through the eye of a needle, / than for a rich man to enter / into the kingdom of God.

Go ye therefore / into the highways, / and as many as ye shall find, / bid to the marriage. /
So those servants went out / into the highways, / and gathered together all / as many as they found, / both bad and good: / and the wedding was furnished / with guests. /
And when the king came in / to see the guests, / he saw there a man / which had not on a wedding garment: /
And he saith unto him, / Friend, how camest thou in hither / not having a wedding garment? / And he was speechless. /
Then said the king to the servants, / Bind him hand and foot, / and take him away, / and cast him into outer darkness; / there shall be weeping / and gnashing of teeth. /
For many are called, / but few are chosen.

But woe unto you, / scribes and Pharisees, / hypocrites! / for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven / against men: / for ye neither go in yourselves, / neither suffer ye them that are entering / to go in. /
Woe unto you, / scribes and Pharisees, / hypocrites! / for ye compass sea and land / to make one proselyte, / and when he is made, / ye make him twofold more / the child of hell / than yourselves.

Then shall they deliver you up / to be afflicted, / and shall kill you: / and ye shall be hated / of all nations / for my name’s sake. /
And then shall many be offended, / and shall betray one another, / and shall hate one another. /
And many false prophets / shall rise, / and shall deceive many. /
And because iniquity shall abound, / the love of many shall wax cold. /
But he that shall endure / unto the end, / the same shall be saved.

Immediately after the tribulation / of those days / shall the sun be darkened, / and the moon shall not give her light, / and the stars shall fall from heaven, / and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: /
And then shall appear the sign / of the Son of man / in heaven: / and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, / and they shall see the Son of man / coming in the clouds of heaven / with power and great glory. /
And he shall send his angels / with a great sound of a trumpet, / and they shall gather together his elect / from the four winds, / from one end of heaven to the other.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened / unto ten virgins, / which took their lamps, / and went forth to meet the bridegroom. /
And five of them were wise, / and five were foolish. /
They that were foolish / took their lamps, / and took no oil with them: /
But the wise took oil / in their vessels / with their lamps. /
While the bridegroom tarried, / they all slumbered and slept. /
And at midnight there was a cry made, / Behold, the bridegroom cometh; / go ye out to meet him. /
Then all those virgins arose, / and trimmed their lamps. /
And the foolish said unto the wise, / Give us of your oil; / for our lamps are gone out. /
But the wise answered, saying, / Not so; / lest there be not enough / for us and you: / but go ye rather to them that sell, / and buy for yourselves. /
And while they went to buy, / the bridegroom came; / and they that were ready / went in with him to the marriage: / and the door was shut. /
Afterward came also the other virgins, / saying, Lord, Lord, / open to us. /
But he answered and said, / Verily I say unto you, / I know you not. /
Watch therefore, / for ye know neither the day nor the hour / wherein the Son of man cometh.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man / travelling into a far country, / who called his own servants, / and delivered unto them his goods. /
And unto one he gave five talents, / to another two, / and to another one; / to every man according to his several ability; / and straightway took his journey. /
Then he that had received the five talents / went and traded with the same, / and made them other five talents. /
And likewise he that had received two, / he also gained other two. /
But he that had received one / went and digged in the earth, / and hid his lord’s money. /
After a long time / the lord of those servants cometh, / and reckoneth with them. /
And so he that had received five talents / came and brought other five talents, / saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: / behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. /
His lord said unto him, / Well done, thou good and faithful servant: / thou hast been faithful over a few things, / I will make thee ruler over many things: / enter thou into the joy of thy lord. /
He also that had received two talents came / and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: / behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. /
His lord said unto him, / Well done, good and faithful servant; / thou hast been faithful over a few things, / I will make thee ruler over many things: / enter thou into the joy of thy lord. /
Then he which had received the one talent came / and said, Lord, I knew thee / that thou art an hard man, / reaping where thou hast not sown, / and gathering where thou hast not strawed: /
And I was afraid, / and went and hid thy talent in the earth: / lo, there thou hast that is thine. /
His lord answered and said unto him, / Thou wicked and slothful servant, / thou knewest that I reap / where I sowed not, / and gather where I have not strawed: /
Thou oughtest therefore / to have put my money / to the exchangers, / and then at my coming / I should have received mine own / with usury. /
Take therefore the talent from him, / and give it unto him which hath ten talents. /
For unto every one that hath / shall be given, / and he shall have abundance: / but from him that hath not / shall be taken away / even that which he hath. /
And cast ye the unprofitable servant / into outer darkness: / there shall be weeping / and gnashing of teeth.

When the Son of man shall come / in his glory, / and all the holy angels with him, / then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: /
And before him shall be gathered all nations: / and he shall separate them / one from another, / as a shepherd divideth his sheep / from the goats: /
And he shall set the sheep / on his right hand, / but the goats on the left. /
Then shall the King say / unto them on his right hand, / Come, ye blessed of my Father, / inherit the kingdom / prepared for you / from the foundation of the world: /
For I was an hungred, / and ye gave me meat: / I was thirsty, / and ye gave me drink: / I was a stranger, / and ye took me in: /
Naked, and ye clothed me: / I was sick, / and ye visited me: / I was in prison, / and ye came unto me. /
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, / Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, / and fed thee? / or thirsty, / and gave thee drink? /
When saw we thee a stranger, / and took thee in? / or naked, / and clothed thee? /
Or when saw we thee sick, / or in prison, / and came unto thee? /
And the King shall answer and say unto them, / Verily I say unto you, / Inasmuch as ye have done it / unto one of the least of these my brethren, / ye have done it unto me. /
Then shall he say also / unto them on the left hand, / Depart from me, / ye cursed, / into everlasting fire, / prepared for the devil and his angels: /
For I was an hungred, / and ye gave me no meat: / I was thirsty, / and ye gave me no drink: /
I was a stranger, / and ye took me not in: / naked, / and ye clothed me not: / sick, and in prison, / and ye visited me not. /
Then shall they also answer him, saying, / Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, / or athirst, / or a stranger, / or naked, / or sick, / or in prison, / and did not minister unto thee? /
Then shall he answer them, saying, / Verily I say unto you, / Inasmuch as ye did it not / to one of the least of these, / ye did it not to me. /
And these shall go away / into everlasting punishment: / but the righteous into life eternal.
